Hosting Your Own Social Potluck

Booking a Community Social Potluck (2 weeks)

Social Potluck is a perfect project for communities of all sizes (municipalities, neighbourhoods, social groups, service clubs, etc...).

A complete Social Potluck Project  takes two weeks from the first dinner to the final performance and involves approximately twenty five participants and twenty five guests.

What is required:
1) A place to hold the five dinners, preferably a place with a kitchen where a table that can seat six people can be set up. This could be a community space, a barn, greenhouse, an apartment (display unit for a development perhaps?), a house that is for sale, an empty storefront, the kitchen/coffee room of a business, etc… as long as it can be private in the evenings when the meals take place. Running water and access to washrooms are necessary
2) A larger space for the two final performances which are large enough to sit approximately fifty people around tables. A kitchen type facility would be nice but isn’t completely necessary. A 28x36 ft. space has been used in the past which was snug but completely functional.
3) A list of local food providers such as greenhouses, butchers, bakers etc… as  the dinners will include as much local ingredients as possible.
